With Isabelle Dabek, a wonderful flutist, we would be delighted to welcome you to this brand-new program, which we have imagined and built together.

“Schubert in Light” was born from the desire to explore that very particular blend of shadow and brightness found in his music—that sometimes unsettling depth which ultimately opens onto something luminous and soothing.

The concert begins like a distant and mysterious apparition with Syrinx by Claude Debussy, then flows into the colors and contrasts of Philippe Gaubert and his lively Allegro scherzando. Cécile Chaminade’s Concertino then unfolds its full expressive richness, balancing passionate momentum with suspended, delicate moments.

After a few miniatures by Francis Poulenc and Eugène Bozza, we enter the heart of the program with Franz Schubert and his Arpeggione Sonata, presented here in a version for flute and piano. It is a work that moves us deeply—through its fragility, its surges of emotion, its silences… and that uniquely Schubertian way of passing through shadow toward a sense of light and serenity.

We conceived this concert as an inner journey—something simple, sincere, and alive—a moment to share together.
